xmcu only. while i'm aware and take inspiration of some parts of charles's comic backstory, i am only (at this moment) writing xmcu alternate timeline charles xavier. meaning, the movies that i consider to be canon are first class, days of futures past (except for the ending), apocalypse, and dark phoenix. logan is not canon to this blog.however, i am vaguely aware of some of marvel comics (i have read everything that miles morales was in pre-2021), and i am totally chill with writing comics only muses. dimension travel happens, like, every tuesday in the marvel universe.

cherik. i do ship cherik and that bleeds into any writing that i do for charles. however, i will not force this ship onto any erik that i may write with. in my universe, post-dark phoenix, after charles retired, he ends up living with erik in genosha. i do headcanon that the two of them were never in a relationship until then as much as they were in love with each other throughout the years.i do ship charles with other characters (including moira) as well. i do not ship charles with any of his students except for logan (if he really counts as a student).

don't underestimate him. charles is an incredibly powerful mutant who only has himself (and an incredibly ugly helmet) to stop him from taking control of literally every single person that he comes across. he is also incredibly intelligent and has an eidetic memory. reading thoughts, especially those projected towards him, is as easy for him as breathing. his telepath powers are always passively active unless he decides otherwise. his ability to control does require concentration, but, honestly, not too much of it.
